Jessica Simpson has been engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson since November, 2010. She told Access Hollywood that she's having the time of her life being engaged to Johnson.
“It’s the best year of my life,” the star told Access Hollywood on Saturday at Tom Everhart’s “Peanuts”-themed new art exhibit, “Crashing the Party: The Arty-Fact Paintings,” in New York City.
“You better say the same!” Jessica joked with Eric, who was by her side at the event.
“Ditto, ditto!” Eric quickly added.
“She’s just a regular, grounded, down to earth person and I like it,” he said of his future wife. “Beautiful, beautiful.”
Jessica – who previously told Access that her wedding dress would “out-do” Kate Middleton’s headline-making Royal Wedding gown – has changed her tune about competing with the Princess.
“I absolutely adore Kate’s dress, I thought she looked absolutely beautiful, there’s no bride that can top a Royal Wedding,” she told Access. “I’m not going to be wearing the same kind of thing, but it will be beautiful in it’s own right.”
Sounds like she's backtracking a bit on that Royal dare she made about Kate Middleton's dress! That's the right thing to do Jessica, as every bride and dress is beautiful in their own right! I know you'll look beautiful on your wedding day Jess!
The couple hopes to wed by Christmas of 2011.
