Jessica Simpson: Fashion Mogul?

Yes, it's true!  Jessica Simpson, 30 can now rival any of the big fashion houses (Michael Kors, Calvin Klein) with her affordable fashion empire.  Us reports that The Jessica Simpson Collection is on track to hit $1 billion in sales this year.  She is featured on the cover of New York, magazine because of her growing importance to the fashion industry.  The article in New York magazine states that last year, The Jessica Simpson netted $750 million in sales.  This year, with the addition of a ready-to-wear line and "career separates", her empire is on track to meet the $1 billion mark (which, approximayely, puts her into the same bracket as Michael Kors).

She said,

"I never though I'd be some fashion mogul!"
