Wow!  I'd like to be related to Jessica Simpson!  Word is that she bought her Mom and Pop new cars.

And not just any cars… Nope! Nothing's too good for the mom and pops who brought Jessica into this world!

According to In Touch, Jess shelled out $600,000 for a Porsche 911 for her mother Tina and a Maybach for Poppa Joe!

According to sources, Jess "is so busy that she sometimes forgets to buy presents."

Um, well, she's clearly made up for it! We hope she "forgets" to buy us presents too!

We bet your mom and dad's favorite daughter right now!

Well, it's nice to be generous to the people who brought you into the world!  Good job Jess!

Angelina Jolie Not Keen On American Education System

Just like any other Mom, Angelina Jolie is concerned about the state of American education today.  She's lucky to have the resources to send her kids to the best schools in the world, unlike many of us.  

"I wish there was a book every parent could read that tells you how to navigate through the school system, and how to tailor the education system for your children and their interests," the mom of six tells the Independent. "I'm personally getting a lot more involved with their different tutors and teachers."

Jolie's children are enrolled in the Lycée programme French schooling system in several different countries, including New York, Prague and Venice.

"But we have different teachers from different cultures in our house, who travel with us. Not only nannies but teachers," she says. "To us it's about building a team around us where we can all be enhanced culturally and they can help with following a curriculum legally."

The "Kung Fu Panda 2" star adds that she believes there's a lot to be learned outside the classroom.

"I do think we live in a different age and the education system hasn't caught up with our children and our way of life," she says. "But we travel and I'm the first person to say, 'Get the schoolwork done as quickly as possible because let's go out and explore.' I'd rather them go to a museum and learn to play guitar and read and pick a book they love.

"I feel that there's got to be a new way to tailor things more directly to our children," she explains. "Considering the amount of information we have today, the internet and online books... We as parents need to think about how we can shake it up and make it better."

Good advice Angie!  Parents need to take action in order to improve our educational system.

Camille Grammer Prepares For Custody Battle With Ex Kelsey Grammer

Okay, we knew this was coming!  In the midst of Camille filming for "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" (yes, she's back! Yay!), a custody battle is ensuing between her and her ex-husband, Kelsey Grammer, and it's seems to be getting nasty......

Camille is currently in the midst of a nasty custody battle with Kelsey Grammer, who divorced her after meeting his new wife, air hostess Kayte Walsh.

Grammer has asked the courts to grant him full-time care of daughter Mason, nine, and son Jude, six.

But the Real Housewife is said to be furious that 56-year-old Kelsey, who married Kayte Walsh, 29, in February, has filed for sole physical custody of their children and is planning to move them to Chicago where he is currently based if he wins.

Camille's publicist has insisted that Grammer will have a fight on his hands because the children are happy and settled living with their mother in Los Angeles.

'The children are at home with Camille where they want to be,' Howard Bragman told PopEater. 

'If Kelsey thinks they will be joining him any time soon he needs to think again.'

And he accused Kelsey of seeking revenge on Camille for not granting him a 'quicky' divorce when he first asked for one.

'He is angry that she didn't walk away from the marriage without a fight,' Bragman explained. 'Kelsey is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it.

'After years of being in his shadow Camille has had enough. When it comes to her children she will fight for what's best for them.'

Camille, who is a full-time home maker, has previously admitted she was stunned at her ex-husband's new demands.

She said: 'Kelsey is being insensitive to our children.'

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the actor has refused to comment on the custody battle, saying the filing of the legal papers 'speaks for itself'.

Stan Rosenfield said: 'Any statement would be inappropriate. The filing speaks for itself.'

Well, we definitely have a juicy story on our hands!  We'll just have to wait to see the outcome, but I think Camille will win (just on principle)!  Team Camille here!  Kelsey definitely did her wrong.....

Amy Winehouse Out Of Rehab Stint

Good thing Amy Winehouse knows when to call is quits!  The British singer has just ended her stay in rehab, but a source says that she will continue treatment as an outpatient.

Winehouse, 27, checked herself into a clinic last week in order to get herself ready for a series of summer festival appearances in Europe starting in mid-June.

"She has completed her assessment at the Priory Clinic in London and will continue as an outpatient," the singer's publicist Tracey Miller said in a statement.

"She is now looking forward to playing shows around Europe this summer and is raring to go. She would like to send a huge thanks to all her fans for the messages of support she has received over the last week and can't wait to see them," Miller added.

Winehouse, ironically best known for her 2006 hit "Rehab," has had an ongoing battle with drug and alcohol addiction.

According to Winehouse's website she is due to perform at music festivals in Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Spain and other European nations this summer.

Good for her!  She knows that there are a lot of temptations out there and it seems like she wanted to prepare herself for the fight!

Halle Berry May Return To Television

Halle Berry may be coming to a TV screen near you.    Rumor has it that a new script for a series called Higher Learning is being shopped around to networks like HBO and Showtime.  Halle would play a college professor in the drama.  She's not new to TV though, she had a onetime recurring role in Knots Landing, back in the day.

TV industry people are buzzing this afternoon about a hot drama spec that has Halle Berry attached to star. Word is the spec, titled Higher Learning, was sent out today to pay cable networks, with HBO and Showtime among those targeted. I hear that the project, from DreamWorks TV, is eying a quick turnaround, and a decision could come as early as tomorrow. The script, which I hear would have the Oscar winner starring as a college professor, was written by 30-year industry veteran Lee Rose. A queen of TV movies in their heyday during the 1990s, Rose segued to episodic directing over the past 10 years. She also co-ran with Martha Kauffman the WB series Related.

Kim Kardashian Sold Engagement Photos To People For A Cool $300,000

So, no surprise here, Kim K. sold her engagement photos to People for $300,000.  To bad the issue didn't sell as well as they wanted, so in the end, they may have lost some money.  Oh well, Kim got her money!

The new issue of The Hollywood Reporter can reveal that Kim Kardashian, newly engaged to New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, sold exclusive pics of her engagement party (with accompanying confirmation) to People for a cool $300,000.

According to an insider, the issue underperformed on newsstands, selling below its average. A People spokesperson and a rep for Kardashian had no comment.

The $300,000 payday is par for the course for the Kardashian family, which earned $65 million last year, as detailed in a Hollywood Reporter cover story.

News of Kourtney’s 2009 pregnancy was sold in a package deal for $300,000 to Life & Style magazine. That included multiple stories: the pregnancy announcement, sex of the baby, birth announcement, first baby photos and body-after-baby reveal. (Life & Style declined comment to THR in February.)

When it came to Khloe’s marriage to Los Angeles Lakers forward Odom, she did even better. OK! Magazine received the official photos and announcement for just shy of $300,000.

Kris also had everything from the Lehr & Black custom invitations to Khloe’s 9-carat engagement ring “donated” for the lavish affair; sources say she promised vendors massive product promotion that would come from the media circus surrounding the wedding. In the event that an item wasn’t gifted, E!, it is believed, picked up the tab (E! declined comment).

But Kardashian -- who can make as much as $25,000 by simply mentioning a brand in a Tweet -- may soon ditch the last name that's become her calling card, according to reports.

TMZ.com says that she'll change her name to Kim Humphries.

Her mom, Kris Jenner, who is behind the Kardashian family deals, told Popeater.com that she thinks her daughter is making a mistake.

"I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries ... She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is," she said.

At this point, we know the wedding will be paid for by sponsors!  Can't wait to hear the story on that event!
